The Patent Office has announced an initiative to make procedural reforms in an effort to improve PTAB trial proceedings, particularly inter partes review proceedings. As part of this initiative, the USPTO will consider historical data from the last five years of proceedings, along with input that it has already received from numerous companies and practitioners. In addition, the Office is inviting additional suggestions for procedural improvement, which may be made by email to [email protected].
